A young cat named Callie, who found his way to the San Diego Humane Society after being designated a stray, would like you to know he has plenty of love to give if you’re of a mind to give it back.
Adopting Shelter Pets
Callie is a domestic short hair who’s almost got a tuxedo kitty thing going on. He’s only about 1.5 years old and weighs approximately 12 pounds. Because Callie was brought in as a stray, very little is known about him or his behavior around other pets and children. While this puts him at a disadvantage, the San Diego Humane Society noted this about him:
Why This Pet is the One For You!
“Meet Callie! He is such a friendly, happy guy! Now, all he needs is a good forever home. He warms up quickly when he gets comfortable in his surroundings and absolutely loves being petted. Most cats like scritches too, and Callie would likely have to agree that they’re the best.
“Still very young, he also loves to play, play, play! If you are ready to provide Callie a nice, comfortable, cozy home with plenty of love and mental stimulation, we are sure he will share his purrsonality with you and add love and snuggles to your day!”
Rescue Pets to the Rescue
Many people say their rescue pets ended up rescuing them and not the other way around. Neutered, Callie’s ID # is 862510. He’s currently being housed at the Escondido Campus located at:
3500 Burnet Drive
Escondido, CA 92027

Callie has an adoption fee of $65.00. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, an incentive for pet insurance from MetLife, and a license for residence in the city limits of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach, and Vista.
