Serious sweetness alert!!!!!! Meet Roxy, an incredibly popular senior girl at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson. Shelter staff there describe her as cute, compact, gentle, and easygoing. They also add that this sweet senior steals hearts everywhere she goes, and every volunteer is smitten with her.
While they can’t say enough good things about her, neither can volunteers who visit with and walk her. Here’s what they have said about this little lady of a certain age:
“I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Roxy! She is so cute and so incredibly sweet. I make a point to spend time with her anytime I’m at PACC, and she is always so grateful for some attention and affection. I often take her to a play yard where she hops right up on the bench beside me for cuddles. She gives sweet kisses and is just a total doll. Someone will be so lucky to have this little lady in their life!”
“Instantly smitten with this darling girl! Sweet, sensitive, mellow, quiet, and eager for affection. She’s an easy-going gal who’s a little bit shy at first but warms up easily with kind and gentle people. She’s simple to leash up and is a really good walker. And don’t let her age fool you. She has plenty of pep in her step and just the right amount of energy. She’s also smart and when offered treats, she’ll show you that she knows how to sit and stay.”
Here’s what PACC learned about Roxy during a stay in a foster home:
– She is housebroken and is a quiet, calm, and laid-back lady
– She loves cauliflower!
– She is extremely smart and knows basic commands like sit and stay
– She is sweet, lovable, and super friendly
– She isn’t interested in toys but enjoys chasing lizards and birds
– She loves belly rubs
– She appreciates a good nap and likes her doggie bed
– She sleeps well through the night
Roxy shares her kennel with another calm and quiet dog and is a tolerant, easygoing gal when meeting other canines in playgroup. Roxy will do best in a home without very young kiddos. If you’re interested, please ask to meet this special senior today!
Note: Roxy is a spayed Boxer mix that weighs approximately 45 pounds. The shelter staff thinks she’s about 10 years old, and she’s been at the shelter since August 30, 2022.
If you are interested in adopting Roxy or you know of someone else who might be, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov for an adoption app or with any additional questions. She’s in Kennel D097, and her ID# is A787580.
