Pettable is a company that launched to connect pet owners with the resources they need to obtain a valid Emotional Support Animal letter.

To further their mission as advocates for animals and to explore the connection between pet ownership and wellness, they have unveiled a very special position at their company. And they may want to hire you!

“These animals help lift our spirits when we’re down, rejoice with us when we’re happy, and never leave our side,” the Pettable site reads.

“Many pets give additional support to their owners, including psychiatric service dogs (PSD) and emotional support animals (ESA)—jobs that positively affect their owners in many aspects of life,” the site continues.

“To celebrate pets of all types, Pettable is hiring a Director of Doggie Flicks. This person will watch 10 hours of feel-good movies about dogs and write a post for the Pettable blog reviewing and ranking each of the movies.”

The movies that they are asking this position to review are:

Marley and Me
A Dog’s Journey
Because of Winn-Dixie
Eight Below
Lady and the Tramp
Call of the Wild

The team notes that their ideal candidate for the position “holds immense enthusiasm for animals and is excited at the thought of binge-watching 10 hours of movies about dogs. They also don’t have a problem with writing a 1,000-word blog post about these movies and are willing to give their best reviews of the films!”

That sounds like my kind of job — and it doesn’t hurt that the pay is $1,000. “They will also get a “survival kit” with some extra goodies to help them make it through their binge-watching journey,” the Pettable site adds.

They are currently looking for candidates now through March 7th, and you can apply on their site here.
