Most people love animals and they want to do what they can to care for them in the best way possible. At times, this may mean putting out some food and at other times, it could mean bringing an animal into your home.

Of course, when most people think about having a pet, they automatically think about having a dog or cat. Some people may even think about an unusual animal, such as a rabbit but in reality, any animal can make a good pet if you know how to care for them and are willing to go the extra mile.

One woman who knows this all too well is Danielle Mulcahy. She had some chickens and one of them had grabbed a baby mouse and was about to do away with him.

Fortunately, Danielle was there to save the day and she decided to do more than just set the mouse free, she decided to raise him and she shared about it on TikTok.

As you can imagine, trying to raise a baby mouse is a bit challenging. There are many things you need to think about along the way because you can’t simply put out some food and hope for the best.

Fortunately, Danielle was more than happy to do what was necessary. The mouse had been injured due to the attack from the chicken, so she wasn’t sure if the little one was going to make it or not.

In addition, the mouse required nursing every two hours, which was challenging on many different levels. At first, Danielle didn’t think that the mouse is going to make it but after some time had passed, she began to gain hope.

Not only was the mouse able to make it through the first few days, but Danielle is now celebrating one year with her little friend. You can see it for yourself in this video:
