Alright, everyone! Get you party hats on because we’re celebrating another birthday!

The birthday celebrant is none other than the super adorable and Instagram superstar, Doug The Pug. Woo-hoo! Please imagine confetti being thrown around now, otherwise the woo-hoo effect wouldn’t be fully felt. Thanks.

This cool little dude is loved by many and is even a People’s Choice Award Winner twice. With 3.8M followers on Instagram, this guy is not only popular on the platform though. You can say that he’s sort of a celebrity amongst celebrities. He has taken photos with artists like Ed Sheeran, the Stranger Things cast, Paramore, and so many more.

But of course, out of all these famous people surrounding Doug, there is no one better than his mom. And his mom, Leslie Mosier gave him one heck of a gift on Doug’s 10th birthday.

Now, singing songs to her dog isn’t unusual for Leslie. It’s kind of their thing, their mom and dog bonding, you could say. Even Leslie’s Instagram bio tells us that she sings songs to her dog. But what makes this particular song special though is, first off, it’s Doug’s birthday. Second, it’s a happy birthday song with a twist!

The viral video is set up just like all the other videos in their singing series. But in this special video, both Leslie and Doug are cutely wearing party hats. Leslie changed up the lyrics for Doug and she said that “it’s about loving each and every new white whisker” of Doug that has and will come. The video has been viewed almost 500,000 times and the comments have piled up to more than a thousand, most of them wishing Doug a happy birthday.

You could see from the video how Doug may have been sitting still, but his tail never stopped moving. One comment said that the “pug tail is a window to their soul” and I can’t help but agree.

Here’s to Doug, to all the “goodness he put out into the world”, and, of course, to his family for giving him the best life full of love and happiness! Happy birthday!
