Coming home from work each day, I would be stuck in the 5 p.m. traffic. As I am sitting in my car, from the corner of my eye, I see something running in the bushes by the freeway off ramp just a couple of exits from my home.

I hopped out and looked around a bit calling out, “Here doggie doggie doggie,” but nothing came. So I set the bowls down the furthest from the freeway. On my way home, the bowls were empty.
