My kitties are my kids. One day, I was sitting at my PC and noticed that two of my outside cats were staring at something. I figured it was a mouse. As it turns out, it was a tiny tabby kitten on its back with its feet up in the air, frozen in fear!
He was about 4-weeks-old. I managed to pick him up and get him inside. After calming him down, It was love at first sight! Tubby was now a part of our family.
A couple of weeks later, I was wishing he had a mate to grow up with. Be careful what you wish for, the universe will provide! I was visiting a goodwill store, and I heard a very distressed MEOW. My protective instinct kicked in, and I began to look for the kitten.
The kitten was running, trying to find a place to hide. I finally caught her with the help of an employee. Someone had dropped a litter at the back of the store the night before. This was the only one left. She looked to be a couple of weeks older than Tubby, and she was also a tabby! I took her home and named her Tippy.
If you didn’t know better, you would think they were from the same litter. They took to each other immediately! Don’t you just love when a happy, unexpected surprise comes along! And I was fortunate to receive two in a month’s time!
They give unconditional love, and they have a way of relieving any stress you may have. They are 5-years-old now. They love being with me when I’m doing artwork, or at the PC, cuddling in my lap. They enhance each day with joy.
