Death can be a very touchy subject for people. No one really likes to think about it as it just emphasizes our own mortality.

However, as much as some of us might be scared by the concept of death, it is a normal part of life. It is all cyclical and no one is exempt from it – not even animals.

Now, when it comes to death, we humans like to do something to memorialize the person who has passed on. Many of us who have pets of our own tend to do the same to show our respects for our furry friends.

But what about those animals who might not have a person to give them a proper send-off when they pass away? Well, there is one photographer and anthropologist, Dr. Amanda Stronza, who has come up with a way to honor the wildlife that have passed on.

Combining her talent for photography with her passion for wildlife, Dr. Stronza, who is a professor and a conservationist, has been creating very striking memorials for any deceased wild animal that she comes across in nature.

As she has previously shared with Bored Panda, when she comes across the body of a deceased animal, she will decorate their remains with flowers as a way of honoring their memory.

She photographs these memorials and then shares them to her Instagram account, where her page is full of these strikingly beautiful but sad pictures. Check out some of her photos below:
