A mother just discovered something terrifying inside her Christmas tree!

In a video posted earlier this month, a mother carefully took a mop or broomstick to probe at her Christmas tree.

“Thought I was seeing things,” the poster wrote.

With Michael Bublé’s crooning in the background singing It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, the mother discovered a tiny mouse hiding inside her Christmas tree.

The discovery got over 3 million views on TikTok and people are divided. So many people are suggesting that the poster should let the little guy spend Christmas in the tree, or just leave it alone. Others are simply saying how cute the little mouse is. While others are, more dramatically, suggesting that the mother move houses instead.

It kind of reminds me of how people who find spider nests, or even a lone spider, just shut down and the default reaction would be to… burn the house down.

Lucky for the poster, she has her lovely little helpers that managed to chase down the mouse from their Christmas tree. With the help of her two cats, the mother managed to get rid of the tree while her cats were busy chasing away the mouse.

“No mouse was harmed in the making of this video. He’s safely outside now with my Christmas tree,” Gina wrote in another video.

Even though the cats in the video are mildly chaotic while trying to get the mouse, it really doesn’t like it was harmed as you could see that it was able to run away from the cats fairly quickly.

In one of her replies, she explained that she first noticed that something was amiss when her tree was “moving” and then her cats began clawing at the tree constantly. And she effectively got rid of the mouse by luring it outside with a piece of cheese.

Folks, if you ever see your tree moving, artificial or not, better check on each individual branch lest you suffer a heart attack with a mousy uninvited guest!
