A tiny rescue piglet named Blueberry may be small, but she’s full of sass and personality.

Kayla Weber regularly fosters animals of all kinds and that’s how she ended up welcoming Blueberry into her home.

According to The Dodo, Blueberry was taken from her mom at just 3 days old, far too soon to be without a mother’s care or breastmilk. Thankfully, she was rescued and placed into Kayla’s foster home for care.

Kayla shared with The Dodo that she really had no idea what she was getting herself into when she opened her life to the tiny Blueberry. She was so tiny, Kayla didn’t expect her to have such high demands!

The tiny piglet proved to be very particular and even loved getting kisses before bedtime. In fact, she seemed to get mad when Kayla would stop giving her kisses and she’d let out a grunting sound in protest!

While Kayla was able to get Blueberry healthy and stable enough for a forever home, she wasn’t able to keep the little piglet forever.

She shared on Instagram that pigs should not be personal pets. She said, “We love Blueberry so dearly, but he is not an animal that should live in a home.”

She went on to say that the tiny piglet found the perfect forever home on a farm full of rescue animals, Elly May Farm.

The farm took to Instagram to share how excited they were to welcome Blueberry into their lives.

They said, “Meet Blueberry, the newest adopted member of the Elly May Farm clan! Blueberry had an extremely rough start to life and we are so happy to welcome him to the farm where he can be spoiled with tons of love!”

While that was back in 2021, Blueberry seems to be living and loving life on the farm to this day. However, he’s not quite so little anymore!

The farm was quick to point out in a follow-up post that there’s no such thing as a “micro” or a “teacup” pig and even the tiniest, most adorable piglets will grow into massive, 100+lb animals that require plenty of space, stimulation, and care.

They wrote, “Yes, he is adorable. Yes, he acts like a dog. No, he will NOT stay small…Pigs are insanely smart…but that means they need constant stimulation. If this need is not met, they can become destructive. That means rooting up carpet, chewing on furniture, baseboards, etc. By no means do I want to put a negative spin around this little guy. I do however want to make sure people understand the truth around potbelly pigs.”

Thankfully, they’re fully equipped to handle all the high-demand needs of a potbelly pig like Blueberry.

He even gets daily nose scratches! How cute!
