Australian cattle dogs are quite hardy animals. Given that their breed was made for herding large animals, these dogs need to be tough, and smart, too.

The 4-year-old wild mustang obediently follows the herding dog as she takes him around the pen.
It’s impressive to watch given that the large horse could easily trample the teeny puppy, but Darla clearly has no fear. Doc and Darla’s owner explained in the video caption that the horse is quite a gentle soul despite having come from rough circumstances where he was starved and mistreated.

As the owner explained, “He was saved by a rescue and then I adopted him and he has become the best horse to let his puppy who weighs almost nothing lead him around for a walk! I called him in to do some exercising with him and she loves playing with the horses so much that she just had to help!”
