Three senior cats – Cosmo, Lunar, and Nia – have grown up and old together in a loving home in Florida. Their world was recently turned upside down when their owner passed away.
The 10-year-old felines were brought to Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and are unsure of their new surroundings. The shelter shared their story on TikTok in hopes of finding a family who will take all three.
“They are best friends and love one another. Cosmo, the big orange fellow, is the most social with people and loves rubbing up against you. Lunar, the brown tabby girl, allows petting, but needs time to adjust, Nia, the beautiful black cat, is a very shy girl who prefers to hide in her bed,” wrote the shelter.
@humanebroward Their owner passed away 💔 Now, this trio of senior cats are hoping to stay together in their next home! 🙏 They are best friends and love one another. Cosmo, the big orange fellow, is the most social with people and loves rubbing up against you. Lunar, the brown tabby girl, allows petting, but needs time to adjust. Nia, the beautiful black cat, is a very shy girl who prefers to hide in her bed 🥺 #fyp #foryou #foryoupage #cats #catsoftiktok #adoptme #sadcat #seniorcats #trio #catrescue #florida ♬ original sound – Humane Society Broward County
The cats have lost so much already. They deserve to find another loving home together. Viewers were heartbroken by their story.
One person commented, “Such beautiful babies and so sad they lost their person. I hope they find a home together.”
The senior cats are still waiting at the shelter for someone to adopt them.
Sadly, senior cats are often overlooked for younger cats, but they have just as much love to give as a kitten. An older cat already knows how to use a litter box, are more independent, and will not claw your couch to pieces.
Their calm energy and soft purrs will melt away your stress after a long day. Cosmo, Lunar, and Nia are ready for another family, so please share their story to help them find it.
