Much like humans, dogs each have their own unique personalities and traits. Even dogs of the same breed are individuals and no dog two dogs are the same.
This becomes evident when watching a video taken of three border collies out on a walk in the Lake District, UK.
The three dogs all go to cross the road together, but they each do it in their own way.
The first dog leaps across the entire road, effortlessly clearing the space and landing on a grassy bank on the other side.
The second dog decides not to jump, but instead runs down into the road and crosses it that way.
The third dog, however, didn’t have as much luck as the first to. It attempted to leap across like road like the first dog, but it didn’t clear the jump all the way. The poor pup ended up smashing into the grassy bank on the other side.
The border collie ended up being just fine and joined his two friends racing across the field after he took a quick moment to recover.
According to the American Kennel Club, border collies are among the most agile, balanced, and durable of all dogs.
They’re often seen competing in agility competitions, and for good reason! Not only are they capable, but they’re incredibly smart and eager to please.
Despite their agile reputation, there are outliers in every breed. Perhaps the pup who biffed it in the video below is one of those anomalies.
Watch the video for yourself to see the different ways the dogs crossed the road:
