Technology has taught us many things but I think one of the most profound truths that have been uncovered in the past few decades is just how much people love cats.

Of course, we always knew that was the case but having the raw data of just how many people would look at cat pictures and videos really opened our eyes to how pervasive it is.

Social media is full of cat pictures and some websites are created just to give us our daily fix of felines. Some of them might even put a unique twist on the subject, including this unique website that has pictures of cats that do not exist.

It is a simple design because there is a black background with a picture of a cat in the middle. You can even refresh the image to see more cats, but there is a catch.

Each of those cat pictures is generated automatically! In other words, the cats do not really exist.

This type of technology has been around for a while. It has been used to create pictures of humans that do not exist, but when they turned the tech on cats, it took things up a notch.

I’m not exactly sure how I feel about these cat pictures. Some of so realistic that it is hard to believe they don’t actually exist.

Others, however, are flawed, although not as many or as much as you would think. It will be interesting to see where the technology takes us from here.
