Tikka the 6-year-old-old German Shepherd was in for quite a treat when she got to visit the groomer for the very first time in her life!

Tikka’s owner took her to Vanessa for a grooming session at Vanessa’s business, Perfect Pooches Dog Grooming in Ontario, Canada.

Vanessa documented Tikka’s first-ever grooming experience and shared it for the world to see on YouTube.

In the video, Vanessa said, “Most groomers have the German Shepherd high on their list of one of their least favorite dogs to groom.”

The reason? Beyond their high-maintenance fur, German Shepherds like to have their owners around and they can be quite vocal about their displeasure when their humans leave.

Tikka was no exception, but Vanessa didn’t mind. She got through the massive amounts of shedding and fur that Tikka had and listened to her doggy arguments the whole time.

Tikka might not have loved the blow-dryer, but the end result was all worth it! After 6 years of only home-grooming, Tikka finally had the softest, nicest coat. Just look how stunning she is:

We can only imagine her owners are going to be beyond thrilled to see how clean and sharp she looks!
