A Kansas City woman devotes her spare time to caring and feeding a semi-feral colony around her neighborhood. In addition to making sure they have food, water, and are spayed or neutered, she ensures they have time for cat shenanigans.
She recently gifted the street cats toys that her cats no longer play with – and their reaction was purr-fect.
Two street cats are seen in the video posted by TikTok user the.wizard.of.cats batting at a ball and happily playing together. The video was viewed by thousands who felt a mix of emotions. While many were happy for the cats, they were also sad that they didn’t have a home of their own.
The street cat hero shared, “I’m talking to a rescue trying to find them a home together. I already have 4 indoor cats & my landlord said no more.”
She has worked with the two street cats for over a year before they trusted her enough to let her pet them. Her goal is to socialize them some more so they can become indoor cats.
She welcomes street cats onto her porch and then feeds them tasty treats to show them that they can trust her. It is a slow process but one that is worth it.
The cat mom reassured viewers that her indoor cats would rather play/scratch the sofa and curtains even though they have ample scratching posts and toys.

Winter is just around the corner – even if we aren’t ready for it. According to The Rescue Vets, “Anything 45 degrees and below is too cold for outdoor cats, so be sure to bring in your feline friend to prevent frostbite on their ears, tails, and toes.” Help provide housing for feral cat by donating here.
