It is often said by cat owners that they didn’t pick their cats, their cats picked them. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to have a cat, you know this to be true.

Cats will often pick who gets to be their family, and one adorable little kitten decided that he wanted to be adopted by the Nienaber family.

Jon Nienaber, and his wife Leslie, would often walk their dog for walks through their Cleveland neighborhood. The part of Cleveland where they lived is known to have a lot of stray or feral cats. It wasn’t an uncommon sight to see tons of them while on a walk with their Basset Hound.

However, for the most part, these feral cats wouldn’t approach them. But that changed one day when the family was approached by a pint-sized little orange fluff.

The little homeless kitten decided that he wanted to be adopted, and he wanted to be adopted by this family. Therefore, he followed them all the way home!

While he was certainly cute, the Nienaber family couldn’t take him in, but they did help him find a forever home. As it turned out, Leslie’s sister, Sarah, was able to adopt the little feline.

After getting a clean bill of health from the vet, the tiny kitten went to live at his forever home with Sarah. He even got an adorable name: Little Pinot.

The best part of him going to live with a member of the family was that Leslie and Jon were able to still visit him from time to time.
