Dogs are so sweet and kind, not just towards their humans but towards other animals as well.
Growing up, I remember watching our family dog always taking in baby birds that fell out of their nests. It was her annual spring/summer ritual and she seemed to really enjoy caring for the fallen baby birds until they were able to return to their nests.
Of course, my dog isn’t the only dog to ever care for a little baby animal that wasn’t their own. In fact, we’ve seen so many videos across the internet that show dogs caring for other lost or orphaned baby animals.
It’s always such a beautiful thing to see. In Snezhnoye, Ukraine, there is a very adorable Staffordshire terrier named Betta, who showed off her deep care for little baby kittens.
According to ViralHog, her owner, Lena, said the sweet Staffie refused to stay away from a litter of newborn kittens and was quite insistent on treating them as if they were her own.
As Lena explained:
“It looks like the dog really thinks she is the kitten’s mum or at least an aunt and tries to take care of them. It’s interesting that the cat-mum has nothing against it and doesn’t care when the dog sits in the bed with them.”
By watching the video, there is no denying that Betta is a natural mommy. She is so gentle and sweet with the tiny little kittens. There’s no doubt these kittens are in a good set of paws!
