Introducing dear, sweet Bella! She is a beautiful (like her name suggests) senior girl who reportedly lived in a quiet home her entire life. Sadly, Bella was brought in by her previous owner for surrender at the age of 14. The San Diego Humane Society, where she currently resides, is still getting to know her. She’s been fearful in their care to date, as she’s obviously very confused as to why she’s there.

With a little time and patience, however, the shelter staff are confident this lovely calico girl with the gorgeous coat will settle in nicely to a new home. Like almost all cats, she enjoys window watching, so a sill or ledge with a view would be very much appreciated. As a senior kitty who has never lived with other animals, she will probably do best in a home without other pets.

Going slowly with her will help her to come out of her shell and determine her tolerance for other critters and new situations. She just needs caring and love while she adjusts, so understanding is necessary on the part of her adopters. Once she settles in and feels safe, she’ll want to share the love. And since cats can easily live to be in their 20s, she could be your new BFF for many years to come.
