Several dogs – including a few seniors – were found abandoned at destroyed homes in Luhansk region. They were starving, afraid, and one was still chained and unable to flee the dangerous area.

Military members freed the dogs and brought them to Patron Pet Center where they are getting the care and love they need and deserve. Once they are neutered and fully recovered, they will find loving new homes.

Several sick cats have also arrived at the center and are finally getting the care they need to survive. Marko arrived suffering from feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) and refused to eat. Thanks to proper medication, he is finally starting to eat and slowly improving.

In addition to Marko, several felines with various viral and fungus infections arrived from the war zone, and sadly some did not survive. Liam and Strchatella pulled through but still have a long journey ahead as they are fighting multiple infections. The staff at the center are making them comfortable and will ensure they regain their health.

Staff shared, “Thanks to the grant we received, we launched the construction of a quarantine block for 65 individual boxes, 2 large, isolated hospitals for keeping cats in FIV, as well as a common room for keeping a healthy herd of cats for 100+ cats. Thus, 300+ cats from combat zones in Ukraine will have a chance to survive and be placed in a family.”

Together, we CAN make a difference. Donate below to continue to help expand the center.
