When we see strays on the street, our hearts go out to them and we want to do what we can to help.
Sometimes, we have this opportunity but at other times, we can have our hearts warmed by hearing what others do.
That is where Jennifer comes in. She found some puppies on the street and was able to rescue them. Jennifer realized that there was a mother nearby and she went out every day to try to find her.
According to The Dodo, in order to help find the mother, Jennifer took along her senior dog and he would put his head out the window and sniff. One day, he was really excited and that is when she realized she had found the mother.
The problem is, the mother dog had a lot of anxiety and was nervous around humans. She took off right away and it took about 20 days until they were finally able to capture her. A local rescuer helped by setting up a humane trap.
After capturing the stray, Jennifer realized that she had to take care of her. She brought her into her home, gradually introduced the rest of the animals to her, and named her Winter.
Unfortunately, Winter’s puppies had already been adopted out to other homes. She wanted her to know that they were okay, so she set up a FaceTime with one of the puppies. Winter seemed to respond well to it!
