There’s nothing like a good song on a sunny day. Something about music has the power to soothe nerves, excite the mind, and warm the heart.
The video below shows a talented pianist playing to a herd of elephants. Instead of simply walking away and carrying on with elephant things, they are sticking around to hear the music. Perhaps these elephants have heard this opening before, or maybe they just want to hear where it leads.
Say what you want about classical music, it’s finding new fans every day. Many of them contribute to Reddit. Here’d what a few of those Redditors had to say.
“This guy, Paul Barton is also an expert painter, sculptor and karate master! The man is crazy,” commented u/drchunhu.
“They stopped mass producing ivory piano keys back in the 70’s if that makes anyone feel better,” wrote u/itsbeemo123
“Elephants are beautiful, gentle, and intelligent. Very sad that we hurt them and take away their environment,” commented u/some_girl008.
“My dog used to come lay under the piano any time I would sit down to play. He was the sweetest,” commented u/areuseriousjk.
“My cats would leave the room,” wrote u/PetrichorIsHere.
“My cat would sit on the piano keys and will make its own music,” commented u/bashdash5.
“It would be interesting to see what music the elephants would make if given an elephant-scale piano like instrument,” wrote u/AngryDog69.
Watch the video below and listen for yourself. Maybe these elephants are onto something!
