Two severely neglected dogs were abandoned on the streets, left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, the rescue group Hope For Paws received a call about the dogs and stepped in to help.
In a video they shared below, it’s not hard to see that the poor pups were having such a rough go of life. Both dogs were covered with long, matted fur and one was missing part of its leg.
In order to get their hands on the dogs, Hope For Paws personnel asked a nearby resident if they could use their fenced-in yard. With some tense moments and a lot of patience, the rescuers were finally able to secure the dogs with leads and get them securely into cages.
The pups whom they named Hudson and Lawrence were then transported to a vet for an elevation and treatment. After that, they were placed in the care of Foxy and the Hounds.

Foxy and the Hound shared on Facebook that Hudson’s partial leg had been fully amputated and was successfully healed and he’s getting around wonderfully. They believe his leg had been partially cut off with a machete, so it’s understandable that he’s hesitant of humans. He’s current in search of a foster home to get him comfortable with humans.
Lawrence, on the other hand, is described as being “the perfect lap dog.” He’s friendly, loving, and makes a great companion.
