If there is one thing that 2020 has taught us, it’s that we should never take the little things for granted. It is these little, everyday moments – like reading a book, enjoying a cup of coffee, or having a relaxing bath – where we can find immense joy. Animals are often great teachers of this, as they know just how to appreciate the small things in life and derive the most pleasure from them.
A great example of this is Princess Neferu. The African spurred tortoise lives at the Badger Run Wildlife Rehab located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
A video taken of the tortoise shows she knows just how to make the most of simple pleasures. A volunteer at the Wildlife Rehab center, Chuck, custom-built Princess Neferu a scratching station.
Princess Neferu loves to have her back scratched. It’s one of her favorite things in life. But thanks to her scratching station, she can make the most of her favorite pastime whenever she wants.

As shown in the video of her, she definitely knows how to enjoy herself. The video shows the little tortoise passing through the scratching machine while doing a little happy dance.
