Some dogs love to bring their owner various “gifts” they find either around the house or out in the yard. Some dogs bring sticks, while others bring toys. It’s a sweet gesture, even if the gift isn’t that useful.

One dog, however, surprised his owner with something truly alarming: a 3-foot snake!

Casey Newlin was the supportive dog mom who happened to be graced with the snake after her golden retriever, Scout, found it in the yard.

Newlin posted a video of Scout carrying the massive snake around on her TikTok account (@pricelesstimes).

“Not your average retriever. Apparently he is friends with snakes!” she wrote in the caption.

In the clip, you can see the dog carrying the large snake up to Casey and showing it off proudly. Of course, she didn’t take the “gift” but the dog was proud to present it regardless.

In a follow-up post, Scout brought the snake back, but this time, it was dead.

Scout didn’t seem to mind and happily carried the gift to his mama again. Casey shared the video with the caption, “scout brought me the snake again today, however today it was dead.”

Since being shared, the video quickly went viral with many people calling it a “nightmare.” Casey didn’t seem to mind, though!
