Police officers in Roswell, Georgia saved a pet bunny who was wandering outside during a storm.
The Roswell Police Department shared on Facebook that the bunny was found wandering around Grimes Bridge Park in the middle of the night.
Considering the harsh weather conditions, it’s a good thing the little guy was found when he was!
They wrote, “We interrupt your regularly scheduled bear content to bring you late-breaking bunny content.
Is this your bunny? They were found by our officer wandering around Grimes Bridge Park overnight amidst the storms. They are clearly domesticated, as they came right up to our officers, loved to be picked up, and made a few good Netflix recommendations.”
The sweet bunny was transferred to the Vet Emergency Group at 2725 Old Milton Pkwy in Roswell, Georgia. The bunny will temporarily be held there to give his owners a chance to claim him.

Sadly, many people suspect he was dumped intentionally.
“Unfortunately probably dumped. Happens every day. Domestic rabbits CAN NOT survive in the wild,” Hope Hahn Shields commented.
“It’s clearly been dumped. I hope it can be sent to a rescue or a loving family,” Max Bellinfante agreed.
Jessica Anne chimed in, “There’s an epidemic of rabbit dumpings around here, we found our little guy living in a holly bush next to the main road in our neighborhood.”
According to the House Rabbit Society, thousands of domestic bunnies are abandoned outside each year. HRS says the owners “may believe the rabbit can survive and thrive in the wild but this is an inaccurate and deadly assumption.”
Hopefully the bunny found in Roswell accidentally escaped somehow and wasn’t abandoned on purpose!
