Who doesn’t love puppies? They are such adorable little animals who just radiate pure love and joy. People love puppies, but apparently, other dogs love puppies as well.
For one pit bull, it was a total joy to help foster a small litter of newborn puppies.
The 65-pound Thunder was first exposed to the role of being a foster parent after his owner took in a pair of puppies. Thunder took to it quite naturally, and he seemed to even enjoy caring for the newborns.
The gentle pooch even got up with his owner in the middle of the night for those late-night bottle feedings.
Of course, once the puppies got a little bigger, it was Thunder’s turn to take over and show them the ropes of what it means to be a dog.

The two puppies, Fig and Fern, were only a few weeks old when Thunder began to treat them like they were his own. He taught them how to play with toys, and the two pups loved spending time with the big dog.
Eventually, once they were 8 weeks old, it was time for Fig and Fern to go on to their forever homes.
Thunder was sad to see them go, but his owner shared on Instagram that they ended up taking in another set of puppies who needed fostering.
Thunder’s owner had noted to The Dodo that he was such a sweet guardian, and it is quite apparent in a video that Thunder enjoys being a foster dad to little pups in need.
