“Where do I begin
To tell the story of how great a love can be
The sweet love story that is older than the sea
The simple truth about the love she brings to me
Where do I start . . .”
If George and Sophie had a love song, this would be it!
The Facebook group Happy Pit Bull, with more than 45,000 members, is having a blast talking on Facebook about the pit bull named Sophie who has fallen in love with a Great Dane named George.
Tracey Kerschner Stahl, Sophie’s human owner, could hardly contain herself as she observed a
doggy daycare photo of her pit bull, who looked so mesmerized by the great dog in front of her.
Tracy posted on the Facebook page, “I seriously cannot even! Today’s daycare photo of my girl who is absolutely smitten with George, the Great Dane! The face says it all. Yes, love does funny things to a girl. 🤣😍🥰”
A friend was quick to say, “THAT SMILE 😃. SHE IS TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THAT TALL GUY. SHE IS SOOO GORGEOUS.”
Another member remarked, “I cannot believe her beautiful smile AND the look of love in her eyes. I am so happy for her Puppy Love!”
Someone else wrote, “Love is beautiful even in the animal world.”
Sophie and George see each other regularly at the dog daycare center. They make a lot of hearts throb because of their sweetness. Their love is especially fascinating because they belong to different breeds.
Great Danes are a giant breed, measuring 28 to 32 inches at the shoulder. They are also called the “Apollo of dogs” due to their mighty and noble build. Despite their size, Great Danes are sweet-natured, while proving themselves to be loyal guardians.
Sophie’s breed, on the other hand, is one of the most misunderstood dogs in the world. Many people are afraid of pit bulls; there is even legislation in some areas that prohibits the ownership of this breed.
But pit bulls, in reality, are as gentle and lovable as any other dog. The right kind of discipline, exercise, and love bring out the best in this breed.
In this love affair, their breed does not matter. George and Sophie are sharing the best times of their lives. If George could sing, he would certainly say —
“She fills my heart with very special things
With angels’ songs, with wild imaginings
She fills my soul with so much love
That anywhere I go I’m never lonely
With her around, who could be lonely
I reach for her paw, it’s always there.”
