Our partner, Patron Pet Center, is caring for hundreds of abandoned animals rescued from destroyed cities in Ukraine. The animals arrive traumatized, covered in parasites, malnourished, and often with injuries.
The center is already over capacity, but they are contacted daily by military and other rescuers to take in more animals. They desperately need more kennels to care for these innocent animals.
The innovative center was designed by a veterinarian and architect who had the animals’ health and welfare in mind. The soundproof and heated kennels provide a safe sanctuary for the pets who were found cowering in fear from the nearby bombs in attacked cities.
The pets are groomed, examined, treated, and given time to adjust to a more normal life. They receive nutritious food, thanks to your donations, and are showered with love and affection from staff and volunteers.
In addition to their daily exercise, there is a “gym” room that allows the animals to roam free and either look out the window at the park or race around and exert some of their puppy energy.
All pets are vaccinated and spayed or neutered before they are put up for adoption. Then a photographer captured their photo which is shared with other rescue groups near and far to find loving homes.
Traumatized dogs like Alice are transformed into friendly and happy pups thanks to dedicated staff and trainers who work with the rescued dogs to overcome their PTSD and fear of humans. Check out her story in the video below.

Cameras have been installed in all the kennels so staff can keep a close eye on the animals and donors are able to check in on the pets with the live feed.
People in the community, including children, are welcomed to visit the center for some pet therapy and to learn more about what the center is doing to help pets in need.
They can help with grooming, play time, or help with the never-ending pile of dishes and cleaning duties.
The center is vital for sick or injured pets evacuated from destroyed towns. As more pets continue to arrive, they desperately need to expand to a second level at their current location.
The Animal Rescue Site and Greater Good Charities are working with Patron Pet Center to build a space for over 200 cats, a quarantine room, cat cafe and library, and much more.
Will you join us in helping the center save more lives?
Roughly 100 pets are adopted each month from the center by people near and far. The center works with rescue groups in Germany and soon other countries to find their pets loving homes.
The dedicated staff and volunteers are doing all they can to help the innocent animals but need our support to save more lives. Donate below and help expand the center.
