Another successful Flight to Freedom has saved the lives of over 50 shelter pets. We couldn’t have done it without your support, so thank you!
36 dogs and 20 cats left noisy and overcrowded shelters in Louisiana and Alabama and caught a Flight to Freedom.
They boarded the flight in the early morning hours of October 25. When they arrived at their final destination, they were greeted by friendly faces who were thrilled to meet them.
Cats meowed and the dogs barked with excitement as they were transported back to the shelters. They will all soon be put up for adoption and find loving homes.
Our non-profit partner, Greater Good Charities, shared photos of some of the passengers and wrote, “After a long day, 36 dogs and 20 cats have arrived safely in New Jersey and Wisconsin on today’s Good Flight out of Louisiana! ✈️ This transport gives pets like Crawford, an asymptomatic heartworm positive dog, the chance to complete treatment and find loving families in areas with high adoption demand. Hooray, Crawford!”
These are the lucky ones. Sadly, there are countless more dogs and cats waiting at shelters for their second chance. Help us fly even more pets to freedom by donating towards the fuel cost of next month’s flight.
Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.
In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. We’re transporting these pets to shelters where they’re immediately adopted.
Together we CAN change the world.
