Honesty is the best policy, or at least that is what Humane Society of Washington County in Maryland is trying to find their longest-stay cat the perfect home.
Meet Quinn.
Don’t be fooled by her adorable face, she hates being cuddled. The 3-year-old feline arrived as a stray in August and is looking for a servant, also referred to as a human owner.
The shelter refuses to give up hope that her person is out there. In a recent post they wrote, “Quinn’s not for everyone. But surely there’s someone out there who would appreciate her icy stare and her sudden smacks!”
They didn’t hold anything back when describing the diva feline. “Tired of visitors coming to your house? Adopt Quinn! She has an uncanny ability to make people feel unwelcome in her presence! Not a big fan of physical activity? That’s perfect! Quinn only seems to want to play about once a month. Quinn is essentially a more lively houseplant, because all she really needs a human for is food, water, and changing her litter,” shared the shelter.
They went on to warn people that she will be the ruler of the home and rules with “an iron fist”.
“If you adopt Quinn, you will not be her owner, because Quinn cannot be owned. She will own you, your house, your belongings, and everything you hold dear.”
But that’s not all. Quinn has a few more requirements of her future home.
- “Quinn would challenge any dog to a fight. For the dog’s safety, it’s best she goes to a home without any canines.
- “Quinn is like a more physical version of someone yelling “Get off my lawn!” at small children. Adults and teens only.
- “Look, how else can we say this? Quinn is not a fan of anything except Churu/Lickables.”
Anyone interested and brave enough to meet Quinn can head to the shelter and ask for her by name. She promises to misbehave and ignore you, but on the bright side there will never be a dull moment.
The shelter hopes to find a loving home that will give her space and allow Quinn to be the diva she is. Please share this to help her find her person.
