‘Tis the season of giving, so a famous country singer visited three animal shelters in Tennessee bearing gifts.
Miranda Lambert is known for her award-winning songs and her love of animals. She started MuttNation Foundation with her mom in 2009 which is focused on helping senior, special needs, and all homeless pets find forever homes.
The country superstar recently went on a major shopping spree in Tractor Supply, the exclusive retailer of her MuttNation product line, and picked out thousands of dollars worth of food, toys, beds, and other supplies for animal shelters.
She kindly reminded people to give back to shelters, “Y’all don’t forget about the shelter pets and the shelter workers during the holiday.”
She also encouraged families to volunteer at their local shelters.
Along with her MuttNation team, she personally delivered the items to Williamson County Animal Center, Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control, and Nashville Humane Association.
As a reward she was able to spend some quality time with the shelter dogs and cats.
A video of the adventure was posted on her YouTube channel where she is seen holding a black kitten named Natalie Cole.
She proceeded to the dog kennels where she crouched down and gave kisses to each dog through the bars. On her visit at Nashville Humane Association, she met Fred, an adorable fella looking for a forever home. He was featured as the MuttNation Monday superstar at the Wayne D Show on The BIG 98 radio station and found a home the very next day!

The rescue posted, “Thank you, Miranda! We are so appreciative of these wonderful gifts for our shelter pets placed under our Tree Of Hope plus your #LoveHarder campaign! (which is helping us find forever homes for so many well deserving pets, like Fred).”
Lambert’s generosity and kindness were matched by Tractor Supply with $1,000 gift cards given to 10 shelters across the country.
But the gifts continue…
MuttNation wants to “amplify the good work” people are doing through volunteering, fostering and adopting at shelters. They are awarding $1,000 grants to 20 shelters around the country. Anyone who has fostered, volunteered or adopted from February 1, 2021 through January 30, 2022 are eligible to enter and win the grant for their shelter. The winners will also receive an autographed Miranda Lambert CD. Find out more here.
People who foster, adopt or volunteer are true heroes. To honor them, and all of their hard work, our annual #ShareTheLove campaign is back. Enter at muttnation.com/sharethelove

You can make the season bright by fostering or adopting a shelter pet. Shelters across the country are looking for loving homes to take in homeless cats and dogs so they don’t have to spend the holidays alone in the shelter.
If you have a spare bedroom or office and some time, love, and TLC to give, consider fostering a shelter pet for the…
