Working at an animal sanctuary is a lot of hard work, and sometimes, it requires some rest. However, for the workers at the Sara Sunshine Animal Refuge, taking a break can be a challenge in itself!
When Jo Frank went to sit down on a couch at the animal refuge in Agadir, Morroco and some of the resident animals took note. They slowly began to walk over to where he sat and hop onto his lap.
It wasn’t long before Frank was swarmed with dogs and even a few cats!
He shared a video of the moment on TikTok, saying, “This is what happens when you try to take a break at our animal rescue centre.”

The animal sanctuary was founded back in 2007 when Michele Augsburger Clairet Doucet decided to return to Agadir “to start improving animal welfare in the city.”

It wasn’t long before she had 100 dogs, numerous cats, and other odd animals, like a donkey or tortoise.
Over the years, the sanctuary has helped over 1,200 dogs and countless other animals. They share plenty of photos of their rescue so on social media. Check out some of the adorable Instagam photos below:
