Being a mailman can be a rewarding job, and it’s certainly an important one.

Beyond the satisfaction of working in a fast-paced, varied environment, mail carriers also get to learn about their neighborhoods and the people and pets who live there.

It’s true that mailmen and dogs have a complicated relationship. USPS in the United States has a whole page dedicated to tips for preventing dog attacks for mail carriers, while the Royal Mail in the UK has tips for dog owners to help prevent dog attacks.

Every year, thousands of mail carriers suffer from dog attacks, even from loving and friendly pups who’d usually not attack. Dogs are territorial and they don’t always understand why a mail person would need to come into their space.

Sometimes though, dogs form a special bond with their mail carriers and the relationships they can create are beautiful.

One mail carrier is familiar with two pups who live at a house he delivers mail to. The dogs are great guard pups and whenever the mailman knocks, they’re right there, ready to greet him.

In a video he took and shared with ViralHog, you can see the mailman knocking on the door before bending down to slide a parcel in the mail slot.

Before he manages to do that, however, two familiar snouts appear in the slot!

The dogs are quite adorable and funny. All you can see are their tiny snouts sticking out from the slot and it’s so cute!
