The relationship kids form with their pets is beyond precious. The bond they can form with each other is unparalleled and can leave a lasting impact on the child and the pet throughout their entire lives.

We usually think of dogs and cats as being the primary pets children bond with, but other animals can be just as loving – including horses!

3-year-old Charlotte lives in the United States with her family and their pet horse, Ally.

While Ally is significantly larger than Charlotte, it hasn’t stopped their bond from forming.

A sweet video captured a moment Charlotte went looking for Ally and she knew just where to turn: the barn door.

In the clip, you can see Charlotte knocking on the stable door with a big smile on her face. She’s looking up at the top, seemingly knowing what’s about to happen.

After a few persistent knocks, Ally barges through the top door and peeks his head out to say hello! The abruptness of the answer sends Ally into a fit of laughter. It’s adorable to watch!
