The world’s oceans offer so much to see. From beautiful fish and stunning coral reefs to charming marine mammals, our oceans have it all. As one kayaker was enjoying a trip along the coast of Pelican Point in Namibia, he encountered a very peculiar sight. It was an animal unlike he’s ever seen before. After observing the creature for a moment, the man realized that it was a seal trapped inside a pillowcase.
The man, Naude, knew he had to help. However, every time that he tried to get close to the seal, the frightened animal would swim away.
Still, Naude was determined to help. No matter how many times the seal swam off, Naude kept trying. Finally, after 15 minutes of getting nowhere, Naude decided he’d have to change his approach.

He decided that he would have to try and predict what the seal was going to do. Naude decided to hang back and wait for the seal to approach him. He figured if the seal got close enough, then maybe he could grab the pillowcase if he was fast enough. And that is exactly what he did.
Just as the seal was swimming by, he was able to grab the pillowcase, and from there, the little seal was able to wiggle out of it and carry on his way.
