Over the course the pandemic this year we’ve all found our different methods of coping. Most of us have gone more mainstream routes, like trying to become our own sourdough bread bakers, while others have gotten very into Marie Kondo-ing their spaces with all the extra organization time that there’s been. For celebrity Jennifer Garner, lockdown has meant making videos staring her golden retriever, Birdie. The precious pup is often featured wearing costumes that draw inspiration from her many films and TV shows.
Jennifer’s video was inspired by one of the current viral TikTok clips. She shared her video to her Instagram, where her fans got a look at a very relaxed Birdie lounging on the ground listening to the Curtis Waters song “Stunnin’.” Then, the words “What I’d wear if I were in…” appear and suddenly Bridie is wearing a red wig and black shirt – the iconic look of Sydney Bristow, Garner’s character in “Alias.”
The other looks included a plaid shirt from “The Tribes of Palos Verdes,” as well as scrubs and a lab coat for her character in “Dallas Buyer’s Club.” Birdie was even briefly a ghost as a nod to Jennifer’s role in “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.” But perhaps the cutest look of all was Birdie in a colorful dress that was exactly like the well-known one that Jennifer wore in “13 Going on 30.”
While many people loved her video starring the talented Birdie, there were other celebrities who chimed in with their delight over the clip. Kimberly Williams Paisley commented, “Your dog is, like, the best-behaved dog I’ve ever seen.”
Jennifer replied with, “She is, actually, a very very good girl.”
Another celebrity pal of Jennifer’s, Selma Blair, wrote, “I love you. Seriously. So good.”
And we agree with Selma on that – we love Jennifer Garner for creating this charming and entertaining video of her dog Birdie. It’s seriously the kind of content that we so desperately need during this dumpster fire of a year.
