Camping is a summer staple for many families. It allows us to unplug, explore nature, and live a little more simply for a few days.
I grew up camping each year and I have so many awesome memories with family and friends. More often than not, we were joined by a few uninvited visitors, like blue jays, squirrels, raccoons, plenty of bugs, and the occasional bear.
However, in all the years I’ve been camping, I’ve never run into a horse at the campground. Apparently though, some horses enjoy camping as much as humans and this horse in Wyoming definitely seems to be one of them.
While having a picnic in a field in Wyoming, a group of campers was joined by a horse. The horse didn’t just come by to say, “hi,” though, but to get a snack.

The horse walked right up to the campers, who were sitting in chairs in a circle, and helped himself to some salt and vinegar chips – right off someone’s plate!
It was instantly apparent that the horse loved the chips and ended up going back for seconds. While the campers told ViralHog, “The horse was the camp pest,” their belly laughter and outrage at the situation is a good indication that it’s something they’ll remember forever.
