Anna & Toretsk Locals

United for Animals (UfA) shared with us, “Toretsk is located in an active conflict zone where the situation remains extremely challenging. Despite all the difficulties, the city stands strong, and our coordinator, Anna, demonstrating incredible courage, has not left the city to continue helping animals in need of support.”

They go on to say, “We have delivered 300 kg of wet cat food, which has become a lifeline for many of Toretsk’s furry residents. Anna tirelessly works to ensure the animals receive the nourishment and care they desperately need during these trying times. Your support continues to be crucial for saving the lives of animals in such conditions. Thanks to you, these animals have a chance to survive.”

Grandma Zinaida

Pallets of pet food was also distributed to various shelters and individuals, like Grandma Zinaida, who remain in the war-torn areas to feed and care for homeless pets.

Zaporizhzhia Caretakers

Rescuers in another hard-hit area, Zaporizhzhia, also received a much-needed shipment of pet food. UfA states that there are 142 caretakers in the area who care for 4,338 cats and 2,580 dogs. However, the number of pets continues to increase due to evacuated pets from the frontlines.

The donated food allows rescuers to take in more abandoned pets and ensure they all have full bellies. According to UfA, “Every day, volunteers encounter numerous situations where animals are brought to them by military personnel from the frontlines. They work tirelessly to ensure a safe and comfortable life for these homeless animals who are left without support. Thanks to your support, we can provide these vulnerable animals with the essentials they need to feel protected and give volunteers the opportunity to find them homes.”
