At the Animal Rescue Site, we love sharing stories about animals who’ve been rescued and adopted. In many cases, your generous support has helped us give these shelter pets a second chance at life.

Your steady support has inspired us to add a new feature to our website, which is already powered by readers who shop and click daily to help needy animals. Now the Shelter Challenge lets you cast daily votes for your favorite shelters and rescues, awarding them with 20 pieces of kibble per vote and helping them compete in contests with hefty cash prizes!

The Shelter Challenge is similar to the Animal Rescue Site, where your daily clicks and shopping help feed hungry shelter pets, but with one key difference. Now you get to choose which shelter or rescue will benefit from your daily donations — which can really add up, at no cost to you – and reward your favorite rescue organization for its efforts! Simply signing up for the Shelter Challenge provides 100 pieces of kibble to your shelter or rescue of choice. Your votes will also donate an extra 10 pieces of kibble when you share them on social media!

We’re distributing $90,000 worth of cash and prizes to shelters and rescues across the U.S. via our current contest, the Happy Pawlidays Challenge. The holidays can be a difficult time for shelters, particularly during a global pandemic, but this shelter challenge will spread holiday cheer by rewarding more than 70 shelters and rescues with thousands of dollars in cash, vital supplies, gift cards, and countless free kibble. We’ve got lots of money and prizes to give away, so we better get started!

The grand prize winner of our Happy Pawlidays Challenge, which runs now through Dec. 21, will be awarded $10,000 in cash and $4,000 worth of vital supplies. The second place winner will get to take home $5,000 in cash and $3,000 in provisions. But we’re also awarding thousands of dollars in cash and supplies, $500 gift cards, and countless free kibble to runners-up, state winners, and weekly prize winners. We have more than 70 prizes to give away — we just need your help deciding which shelters to give them to!
