Meet Bandit! Despite what her name implies, Bandit isn’t an outlaw or robber, or even a small-time crook. Quite the contrary. She’s a very honest gal – the only thing she’s likely to steal is your heart! In fact, she’s stolen the hearts of countless volunteers, so maybe she is a bit of a career criminal after all!
Adoptable Dogs
Here’s what a few of her volunteer fans have said about her:
“Bandit is a little bundle of energy. She has always been friendly and eager to walk when I go to take her out. She has become a lot more affectionate with me, giving kisses and wanting cuddles. Bandit would be a great hiking buddy or a great addition to an active home. She will need plenty of outdoor activity to keep her occupied and stimulated. Bandit is simply the cutest little thing and such a special little girl who I completely adore.”
“Bandit is a very happy dog and seems very comfortable with me. She is such a cute little thing and would benefit from a home that keeps her active. Love this girl.”
“Sweet Bandit has made a lot of progress since arriving at the shelter and has become affectionate and confident! Today we had a nice walk together where we sat down in the grass for some pets and snacks. She wanted to curl up in my lap. She is a good walker, takes treats nicely, knows the command sit, and seems eager to learn. Overall, she is a wonderful dog, and it’s heartwarming to see her show off her cute personality.”
Shelter Pets
Miss Bandit came to Pima Animal Care Center as a stray and was brought to the shelter by an animal protection officer. It was May, so with temperatures on the rise, Bandit was more than happy to hitch a ride to PACC to get out of the heat and into the AC. She’s been a great guest since she arrived. She’s a perfectly petite medium-sized lady, but she has a giant heart and a huge amount of love to share with the right family.
Bandit has shared her kennel with various roommates while at PACC and was social, easygoing, and playful during her most recent behavioral evaluation with other shelter dogs. Bandit is looking for a family that will go slowly as she settles into a new environment — preferably a home with older kids (16 and up.) Bandit has been waiting so long for her perfect people to find her – please ask about her today!
Animal Rescue
A spayed Pit Bull Terrier, she weighs approximately 40 pounds and is believed to be about 4 years old. She’s been at the shelter since April 15, 2022, and she’s sooooo ready to go home.
If you are interested in adopting Bandit or you know of someone who might be, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov with additional questions. She’s in Kennel D187, and her ID# is A746050. Remember, the more you share stories like this, the higher the chances of rescue animals finding forever homes.
