When April first adopted Clyde, she knew she’d face a challenging road ahead. It’s never easy taking on the responsibility of a dog, but when it’s a dog with special needs, the journey can be that bit tricker.
Of course, it can also be that more rewarding knowing that you’re caring for and giving a dog a home and life that they might otherwise be denied because of their life circumstances.
But April was determined to make sure that Clyde never felt like an outsider. She loved and treated him like she would any other dog.
Because of her dedication and care, today Clyde is a happy little guy who is living his best life. Apart from his condition, he’s the same as any other dog out there.
Clyde suffers from Cerebellum Hypoplasia, a condition that impacts both his balance and his ability to walk. Still, even with these special needs, Clyde is not one to let life slow him down. He is determined to get out there and live life to its fullest, and it shows in his happy demeanor.
But there is one distinct aspect about Clyde, and that his is gait. Because of his condition, he’s got what has been described as a wiggle walk.
He might look a little silly at times in his movements, but you have to admire his zest for life.
Definitely, a wonderful life lesson that we can all learn from Clyde: Never let anything limit your potential.
