We all have a favorite person in our lives – someone who means the world to us and makes us happy to be around them. It’s also a very nice feeling when we’re the person in someone’s life that they absolutely cherish.

For Doug Carleton, he happens to be a revered member of the group of geese who live in his local park. They get incredibly excited to see him every time he goes to visit.

Carleton has been visiting the geese of his park for many years now, and as a result, he has come to befriend all the geese who live there.

There are eight resident geese in total, and Carleton has named all eight of them. The geese have come to accept Carleton has an honorary member of their group.

The geese have learned that they can trust him, so when there was a new gosling addition to the group, they were more than happy to let Carleton get to know the newest member of the family.

Carleton named the little gosling Sam, and as Sam grew up, he got to know his human companion better. The two became instantaneous best friends. And their bond has continued to blossom. It has made Carleton the absolute favorite person in Sam’s life, and the little gosling gets incredibly excited every time he sees him. In fact, it is always Sam who happens to be the first goose to greet Carleton whenever he comes to visit.
