Dogs have a very playful side. Perhaps that is why we love them so much – they’re always up for having some fun.

Sometimes, that fun crosses over to the human world. Sometimes, our dogs find that they like to play with kids’ toys too! When I was younger I had to consciously keep my stuffed animals away from my dog or else she’d happily rip the stuffing out of them.

In Stanton, Kentucky, one German Shepherd found a fun new game to play that involved a child’s outdoor toy.

The ensuing footage of the dog racing around the backyard pushing the toy in its mouth was nothing short of delightful. This pooch was clearly having the time of its life!

The owner of the dog and dad of the young girl whose toy had been commandeered by the canine recorded the video.

He uploaded it with the caption that explained, “My dog watched me push me daughter in the car and I guess he thought it looked like a good time so he’s been running with [it] ever since, so I figured I’d get some videos of him.”

The video is not only super adorable, but it also shows how smart the dog is. He easily was able to imitate what he’d seen his owner doing many times before.

The footage was well received by viewers, with many comments being left. One person wrote, “Dogs just living its best life.”

Others pointed out that perhaps the dog had a future in lawn mowing, with one person joking, “German shepherd: Ah! Don’t mind me! I’m just mowing my owner’s lawn.”

I mean, if this doggie can already push around a toy, maybe he could be taught to push a lawn mower? It would definitely help to have an extra set of paws to keep the garden neat!
