Imagine driving down the road and looking at the houses and seeing five sheep standing on a rooftop.
That would certainly be an unusual sight, but it was something that happened recently in Yorkshire.
I think that most people are familiar with exactly how well goats can navigate difficult-to-reach areas, but these were five farm sheep who jumped from a nearby field onto the roof and then found themselves in a predicament.
The call came to the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, where they were directed to the location along Barnsley Road in Newmillerdam, England.
Damien Cameron was one of those on the scene who worked along with one of the local residents to build a bridge temporarily so the sheep could escape.

They feel that one of the sheep noticed the bridge first and the other four simply followed along. After all, that’s what sheep do best!
Undoubtedly, this was a stressful situation for everyone involved but particularly for the five sheep stuck on a roof. Fortunately, it all ended well and the five sheep were back in the field again.
Yes it wasn’t quite the night on the tiles those sheep were hoping for!
