There are a lot of benefits to being an employee at a pet store. If you love animals, it allows you to get up close and personal with them on a daily basis.
Perhaps that is why 23-year-old Violeta Martinez decided to take a job at PetSmart.
There’s no doubt that she sees some adorable things every day, but she saw something one day that made her post a video on TikTok in the hopes of making a difference.
In the video, Martinez talks about walking up to the door early in the morning or when closing at night. She admits that it is the only thing she hates about her job. At times, she will find something that just breaks her heart.

She says: “I don’t even want to know what’s inside, but obviously I’m going to look because I’m a caring person who cares for pets.”
It’s obvious that there is something living inside of the box because the cardboard has been punctured.
Martinez thinks that there may be a cat inside because she hears some meowing and her feelings are confirmed after she finds an orange kitten inside.
She goes on to ask people not to do this because the animals are very frightened. She says that she doesn’t understand why people do this but that they are going to take care of the cat.

It’s a shame when things like this happen but she didn’t allow the story to stop there. She posted an update to let her followers know what had happened.
