Financial Assistance | Veterinary Care |Actors and Others for Animals provides financial assistance for veterinary procedures (excluding routine care) enabling guardians to care for and keep their companions.
This program provides:
– Financial assistance for emergency medial care for pets
Those seeking help must fill out an online application. The level of assistance provided depends upon a number of factors including the type of illness or injury, the course of action needed and the funds available at the time of the request; at no time is the cost of the entire procedure covered.
- Must be the pet’s owner / guardian.
- Pet must be spayed or neutered or can safely be sterilized at the time treatment is rendered.
- Must have already obtained a medical opinion identifying what is ailing your pet, the likely course of treatment and outcome and a cost estimate.
- Medical issue must not have been preventable through routine care.
- Cannot be an animal breeder or have bred the animal in question or other animals in your care.
- Animal must be in the care of the vet with an outstanding bill.
- The veterinarian or veterinary clinic must agree to accept a verbal financial pledge and bill the organization when the procedure or treatment is completed.
- Must not have received aid within the previous two years.
- Must demonstrate financial need and provide us with a truthful dollar amount you will be able to pay towards your pet’s care at the time you fill out the application.
- Must not be seeking treatment for cancer, cataracts, specialty procedures, ongoing treatments, or those costing thousands of dollars.
