Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation helped fulfill a last wish for a dying dog.
Maggie was diagnosed with cancer and while her time on Earth was coming to an end, her owners were determined to make sure she got to enjoy snow one last time. They made a plea on Facebook asking if anyone had a shaved ice machine they could borrow.
“Our sweet dog is passing of cancer and Monday we want to build her one last snow bank to roll in,” they wrote.
Salt Lake County Ice Center heard about the request and leaped at the opportunity to help Maggie and her family. “Today, our staff shaved some extra ice, loaded it into bins and buckets, and the owner took the snow home, to Maggie’s backyard, where she enjoyed it with her family,” the ice center posted.
