A dog has taken a baby lamb under his wing after the lamb’s mother rejected her.

Beau the lamb had been pushed away by her mother multiple times, so it was clear that the lamb would need a surrogate.

Max the dog took it upon himself to be Beau’s new mom. He began licking Beau through a fence, and the two of them fell in love at first sight.

They bonded immediately and grew inseparable.

Their owner, Olivia Akers, says they always slept next to each other. Max was constantly cleaning Beau, as well as playing with her and protecting her as if he were her parent.

Whether it was running around Akers house, or spending time outside, they were always together.

Since Beau was practically raised by a dog, she began to exhibit dog-like traits, such as scratching the back of her ears, exactly how Max does.

Once Beau grew old enough to be with other sheep, she returned to the flock. But rest assured, she and Max still get to see each other every single day!

Akers reassures everyone that the adorable duo “will get to love and play with each other for the rest of their lives.”

Akers posted a TikTok of the duo’s bond, which has gone viral with more than 2.9 million views and 23,000 comments of people who absolutely adore their sweet friendship.
