People who rescue animals are quite patient people, especially since many rescues take time.
For one group from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, it was a very alarming experience when they went to rescue a stray dog from a freeway.
The group watched in horror as the dog ran across the highway, sticking to the side of the wall.
Donna, who was the one driving the truck, was trying to get close enough to hop out and grab the stray. However, when the group saw their opportunity, they stopped, only to watch as the dog darted across the road.

The rescue group was panicked and they didn’t know what to do. They could only watch helplessly as the dog ran into traffic.
Luckily, the dog managed to dodge every single car and not get hit. Given the miraculous nature of the moment, the team later called him Dodge.
After seeing the amazing moment, Donna and her fellow rescue team were able to catch up with Dodge and bring him back to the safety of the car, where they noted that he drank a whole load of water.
At least his ordeal on the streets is over thanks to Stray Rescue.
The entire rescue was captured on camera, and as they shared in a post, “Highway rescues are the worst – so much can go wrong!”
